About Sean
Sean and Carole Burrage have been married
for 12 years and have two sons: Truman, 9,
and Carter, 1. They have made their home in
Claremore for the past 10 years, where Sean
has practiced law and Carole served on the
faculty of Rogers State University prior to
becoming a stay-at-home Mom. Sean is the son
of former United States District Judge Michael
Burrage and Aletha Burrage, an elementary
school principal.
Both Sean and Carole received their undergraduate
and law degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
Sean served the State of Oklahoma as former
U.S. Senator David L. Borens Legislative
Director in Washington, D.C. Sean continued
his public service as Special Assistant and
Director of State and Federal Relations to
President Boren at the University of Oklahoma.
Sean is a board member of
the University Hospitals Authority at the
OU Medical Center, and also serves as a
Member of the OU-Tulsa President's Cabinet.
Sean is active in the Rogers
and Mayes County communities by serving
on the Board of Directors for Tri-County
CASA and as President of Share the Spirit,
a local charity that provides food baskets
for families during the holidays and sends
children in need to summer camp. He was
named Tri-County CASA Attorney of the Year
in 2001 in recognition for his pro-bono
representation of minor children in the
juvenile court system.
In his spare time,
Sean enjoys coaching Truman in soccer, basketball,
and baseball. The Burrages are members of
the First United Methodist Church of Claremore.
